Winners of the Joseph H. Rainey Empowered Leadership Award, Rainey Center Freedom Project Award, Rainey Center Civic Excellence Award, and LAMP State Delegation of the Year will be announced at the 2024 LAMP National Summit.
The Joseph H. Rainey Empowered Leadership Award is a lifetime achievement award named for Joseph H. Rainey, who was the first African American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives—and the namesake of the Rainey Center. It is given to an individual to honor their entire body of work in service of the center’s core values of advancing freedom, equality, and a more perfect union for all.
Winners of the Rainey Center Freedom Project Award reflect the very best of solutions-focused legislators who champion freedom while governing effectively.
Representing the very best of Congress, each winner has proven themselves to be committed to preserving the freedom of all Americans. Their record as legislators proves they are empowering the American people.
The Civic Excellence Award recognize efforts of outstanding civic engagement initiatives or activities.
The LAMP State Delegation of the Year award is bestowed annually on one state delegation for exemplary service to their constituents and to recognize those who are pursuing actionable solutions to America's greatest policy challenges.
